Summer update! I don’t have any clinical trial news right now, but I wanted to share a quick personal update and some recent kayaking and hockey photos, including my chest scar.
I play hockey (goalie) with a private group of high-skill players at The Ohio State University. Normally, I don’t play much in the Summer because I prefer to do Summer things in the Summer, but it’s an excellent workout, and hockey is still my first love.
Yesterday, I took my kayak out for the first time this Summer at Alum Creek near Columbus, OH. I snapped a few photos and noticed my chest scar has healed nicely, so I figured I’d share it since several people have asked.
Because the Acclaim is fully implanted and invisible, I can go kayaking and only worry about mundane things like getting a tan or applying sunscreen, not whether it might get wet or fall off.
It’s out of sight and out of mind. There is nothing there to worry about. Just go do stuff.
