Update since my March 31-April 1 visit to Mayo.
As it stands:
- The Mayo team pushed tweaks that fixed some remote control bugs such as key-click loudness.
- They tweaked the listening modes on the remote and they sound fantastic.
- I talk on my iPhone at normal volume levels (I sometimes have to turn it down).
- It is rare if I ask someone to repeat themselves on a phone call now.
- I do not need captions while on Teams calls. I’m just wearing a crappy, work-issued headset w/ mic and I’m good with it.
- Interference noise is down way low, which allows them to increase the sensitivity and volume levels.
- Had a conversation with family while they were standing behind me. I was purposely doing that to see how the new tweaks would allow that type of conversation. (Also, I didn’t want to look at my family. Kidding. I think.) 😉
Each trip out there, the team fixes things, tries new things and tremendous progress is made.
I really believe in this. I’m living it. It’s amazing. I can’t wait until it’s on the market and available to others. It really will change your life. I swear. It will change your life.
Until then, I’ll keep going out there, helping them test, improve and advance the Acclaim so that some day very soon, it can help millions of people. Maybe even you or someone you love.
Talk soon.
